Expert Reader from Xerox is a powerful standalone reading machine appliance that converts text from books, magazines, and other complex documents to high-quality speech, making printed material more readily accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired.

Expert Reader, the newest addition to the Xerox Adaptive Products line of fully integrated reading machines, offers improved levels of speed, accuracy, and ease of use.

The latest award winning optical character recognition (OCR) technology from Xerox provides Expert Reader enhanced reading accuracy. Built around a high-powered microprocessor, it delivers the highest levels of speed and performance. Expert Reader also incorporates industry leading DECtalk* software speech synthesis for ultimate reading clarity.

Xerox has applied its extensive experience in ergonomic design excellence to the development of the Expert Reader. Expert Reader employs a large legal size scanner to accommodate the widest range of printed materials. All controls are sized and located for comfortable, convenient identification and operation. A selection of simplified, easy-to-use keypads are available, providing an interface appropriate for every user level from beginner to advanced. Help and instructions are available right from the keypad for quick, easy reference.
