Standard vs. Halogen Lighted Magnifiers

Eschenbach produces both halogen and standard incandescent lighted handles for its magnifiers. Our experience with macular degeneration patients has been that halogen helps many patients. A few patients will have difficulty with the brighter light and function better with standard lighting. Whenever magnifiers are tested, both lighting systems should be evaluated. The halogen handle requires three D batteries.
