Right Hemianopsia Therapy
Manual
In Development
Drs. Richard and Laura Windsor are developing a new
manual to help aid those patients with problems related to a right homonymous hemianopsia. A hemianopsia is a loss of half the normal visual field in each eye. This therapy manual helps patients to scan into the abnormal visual field loss. Scanning is crucial to help those overcome bumping, tripping and falling over objects to the side of the loss. A right homonymous hemianopsia can lead to many problems when reading including the inability to see whole words, slow reading and patients losing their place while reading.
This new manual is designed to help these patients compensate for the loss to the right side. This manual contains many pages of exercises for the patient to perform at home to help train his or her ability to scan, and hopefully, improve the patients ease and speed of reading and mobility.
