1. The VES-AF does not operate:
a. make certain the VES-AF is switched "on."
b. make certain the power cable is inserted completely into the battery pack.
c. make certain the battery pack is charged.
d. make certain that the front of the VES-AF is not obscured.2. The VES-AF image is not clear:
a. make certain the eyepiece is properly focused for the user.
b. make certain you are looking at a distance beyond 12 inches.
c. make certain you are looking directly at the object you want to view. Turn your head slightly to the right or left to help find the right focus.
d. avoid looking at very small or narrow objects.
e. make certain the VES-AF optics (especially the eyepiece) are clean.3. The VES-AF image is not stable:
a. move your head in or out slightly. This should stabilize the focus.
b. make certain to look as "straight on" as possible.c. you may be looking at a surface that the AF doesn't "like". Look at another object at the same distance that focuses properly. Shut the VES-AF and then return to the original object of interest. This may be encountered when looking at p tures behind glass, some computer and TV screens, and through some windows and mirrors.
If all of these items have been checked and the VES-AF still does not function properly, contact your prescriber for information about how to obtain service.
