Expanded Field Reading Telescopes

Expanded Field Reading Telescopes may be used when a patient requires both magnification and a greater working distance than allowed with microscopes. Telescopes may be capped to allow reading at arms length. Two Expanded Field Reading Telescopes can be mounted and angled in-ward to match the turning in of the eyes and thus maintain binocular vision.

Our experience has shown the 4X system when capped for near, provides a good binocular system. It has greater weight and must be carefully fit. These systems have been used by neurosurgeons.
